Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS, GitHub

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and continuously enhance CI/CD pipelines that facilitate scalable application build and release procedures across various technology stacks.

• Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate security and quality checks without hindering the speed of delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong practical experience in a DevSecOps, CI/CD Engineering, or Platform Engineering position.

• Proficient in English — both written and spoken, for effective cross-team collaboration and technical documentation.

• Extensive hands-on experience with GitHub, including GitHub Actions and features of GitHub Enterprise.

• Robust understanding of Git branching strategies and GitOps workflows.

• Familiarity with GitOps tools, such as ArgoCD or FluxCD.

• Practical experience in integrating DevSecOps tools throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Knowledge of Software Composition Analysis (SCA).

• Experience with Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tools such as SonarQube and Checkmarx.

• Proficient in Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) using tools like Prisma Cloud or equivalents.

• Scripting skills in Shell (Bash) and Python for automating build and operational tasks.

• Experience in designing pipelines for Maven/Java and Node.js application workflows.

• Hands-on experience with container image creation, Helm chart configuration, and deployment procedures.

• Exposure to container orchestration platforms such as AWS EKS, OpenShift, or Azure AKS.

• Experience with artifact management using Sonatype Nexus.
