This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Design, implement, and oversee enterprise-grade infrastructure on the Azure platform, ensuring multi-region deployment and high-availability architecture.
• Construct and maintain Kubernetes clusters, encompassing deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting of containerized applications.
• Create and oversee containerized workloads from image creation through to production deployment.
• Develop and execute CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps to streamline software delivery and deployment processes.
• Generate Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform/OpenTofu, ARM templates, or Bicep for consistent infrastructure.
• Lead vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies across cloud infrastructure and container environments.
• Establish and enforce security policies, compliance standards, and best practices for cloud operations.
• Implement security scanning and container registry scanning tools to identify and manage vulnerabilities in images and dependencies.
• Create automation scripts and tools to minimize manual operational tasks and enhance system reliability.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, optimize resource utilization, and apply cost management strategies while collaborating with development teams, security teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including compute, networking, storage, and security services.
• Profound expertise in Kubernetes orchestration, covering deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of both Windows and Linux systems.
• Advanced experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repositories, artifacts, test plans).
• High proficiency in infrastructure automation and scripting (Terraform/OpenTofu, PowerShell, Bash, Go, Python, etc.).
• Proven experience with vulnerability assessment tools and vulnerability management processes.
• Solid grasp of security best practices for cloud infrastructure and containerized environments, with a strong familiarity with CIS and NIST security frameworks.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Application Insights).
• Proficient in containerization technologies (Docker, container registries).
