This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The Senior DevOps Engineer acts as a seasoned individual contributor within a collaborative team.

• You will take charge of achieving scope, schedule, and delivery objectives.

• Influences the long-term objectives of the program while aiding in the development of the DevOps and software engineering strategy.

• May act as the primary leader for the discipline while engaging with stakeholders.

• Employ strong influencing abilities to enhance software engineering processes and practices.

• Utilize robust collaboration skills to streamline and unify DevOps tools and services across teams.

• Acts as a mentor to team members.

• Delivers design documents, system diagrams, and more to clients, stakeholders, partners, and fellow engineers.

• Capable of independently designing cloud infrastructure and pipelines.

• Creates libraries, modules, and packages for integration by other infrastructure engineers in their projects.

• Develops CI/CD processes to facilitate the delivery of higher-quality software at an accelerated pace.

• Proactively collaborates with government partners to ensure the delivery of compliant software.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience (or 7+ years of total relevant experience in lieu of a degree).

• Proven proficiency in test development, monitoring/instrumentation, analytics, and optimizing deployment pipelines.

• Demonstrated capability to improve the developer experience by automating release processes and creating modern development tools.

• Practical experience in deploying, managing, or migrating applications within AWS or cloud.gov (preferred).

• Experience with federal compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, ATO processes) while working with government partners (preferred).

• Familiarity with JavaScript, Node.js, Postgres, and observability tooling (preferred).
