Senior DevOps Engineer – ARA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist in optimizing application infrastructure to enhance platform performance and reliability.

• Develop and sustain the supporting infrastructure for cloud environments and applications.

• Utilize a diverse array of Azure resources to deploy scalable, dependable, and cost-effective services.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, directing critical projects while leveraging your expertise to address complex challenges.

• Execute and automate system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and disaster recovery.

• Detect system-level issues related to OS configurations and virtual hardware limitations.

• Implement automation, auditing, and other tools for security, compliance, and resource utilization - Monitor and enhance processes for all deployments.

• Assume responsibility for operational excellence by establishing and maintaining business-centric KPIs.

• Utilize these metrics not only as a foundation for positive change but also as a visible indicator of your team's achievements.

• Manage and take responsibility for your tasks during each sprint, ensuring accurate logging of time and details.

⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.

• Capability to communicate efficiently across various disciplines.

• Strong analytical skills with a focus on driving reliability enhancements.

• Demonstrated success in managing and optimizing CI/CD for an Azure-based SaaS application.

• Practical experience with common DevOps tools, including Azure DevOps.

• Proficient scripting skills in at least PowerShell or Bash.

• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Terraform.

• Working knowledge of version control and source code management tools.

• Experience in an agile software development lifecycle.

• Basic understanding of databases, including SQL and NoSQL.

• In-depth knowledge of web server configuration and management, such as IIS or Tomcat.

• Familiarity with local and wide area networking and related technologies, e.g., switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs.

• Strong grasp of security principles.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Experience in a technical, fast-paced environment with high demands and expectations.

• Ability to quickly absorb information under pressure.

• Strong planning skills to ensure business goals are met and projects are delivered punctually.
