Senior DevOps, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Execute and uphold the target infrastructure using Terraform and automation tools, converting the target architecture into reusable, version-controlled Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in close collaboration with the Solution Architect and Network Engineer.

• Oversee and modify the CI/CD pipelines necessary for infrastructure and application deployment, which includes establishing and supporting a parallel test environment utilizing Concourse pipelines alongside the current Jenkins setup.

• Facilitate deployment and migration efforts with internal teams and external partners, assisting in resolving technical dependencies and ensuring that service level objectives are upheld throughout the transition process.

• Monitor and verify migrated services, conducting API connectivity checks with tools like Postman.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of deployment processes, tools, and operational practices utilized across the cloud environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer.

• Strong practical experience with AWS in deploying and monitoring production containerized services.

• In-depth experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Proficient knowledge of AWS networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups.

• Experience with serverless and container deployments, including Lambda, Docker, and ECS.

• Skilled in using scripts to automate the configuration of services and tools via their APIs or SDKs, with a background in Python and other scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Shell).

• Experience working in a source-controlled environment (GitHub/Bitbucket).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins and Concourse.

• Experience in deploying and managing relational databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, and Postgres.

• Understanding of the software engineering lifecycle, including design, architecture, test automation, deployment automation, monitoring, and alerting.

• Experience with Linux, particularly Amazon Linux.

• Proficient English communication skills.
