Senior Dev Ops Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Enhance deployment reliability, minimize operational risks, and assist in modernizing AWS infrastructure towards Kubernetes.

• Provide support to the entire Engineering organization by developing applications on EC2 and AWS platforms.

• Take ownership of all elements of the SDLC while aiming to automate self-service wherever feasible.

• Implement SRE practices, continuously advancing observability and utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.

• Guarantee that systems are designed with security in mind and comply with regulatory and organizational standards.

• Work collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners to architect and design scalable and secure solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or Platform Engineer role.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, or Go, with experience in creating automation scripts for CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with high-level programming languages, particularly Typescript (Pulumi/AWS CDK).

• Experience with Amazon Web Services and a strong grasp of networking concepts including VPCs, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and VPNs.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes, including the capability to troubleshoot cluster-related issues within EKS.

• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Experience in supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (familiarity with GitHub Actions, Codefresh, or GitLab CI is a bonus).

• Strong capability to design solutions from the ground up and plan implementations under tight deadlines.

• Build infrastructure in accordance with PCI and SOC2 best practices.
