Senior Data Scientist – Credit Eligibility

📋 Description

• Creating and enhancing credit scoring and risk modeling solutions that evaluate customer creditworthiness, default risk, and loan pricing across various markets.

• Designing and validating machine learning models for loan eligibility and pricing optimization through A/B testing and statistical analysis.

• Continuously refining eligibility criteria by examining repayment data, engineering new features, and tracking credit performance for risk variations and margin effects.

• Collaborating across departments with engineers, data scientists, and commercial stakeholders to implement models in production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing predictive models, specifically in credit scoring, risk modeling, or related classification/regression challenges.

• Strong background in machine learning with practical experience in model development, validation, deployment, and performance assessment.

• Expertise in Python, SQL, and pertinent machine learning libraries (such as scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, etc.), with a focus on feature engineering, model selection, and hyperparameter tuning.

• Experience in translating intricate model outputs into practical business strategies and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

• Capability to work collaboratively with product, engineering, and commercial teams.

• Excellent data communication skills — both written and verbal, as well as visual.
