Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform in-depth analyses and detailed statistical investigations, concentrating on delivering actionable insights and strategic recommendations for decision-makers.

• Create and implement customized models and algorithms utilizing data and machine learning libraries to address intricate business challenges.

• Extract, clean, process, transform, and integrate data from various sources such as SQL servers, AWS environments, Azure, SnowFlake, SalesForce, internal systems, and flat files.

• Discover, wrangle, scrape, and compile new data sources from the internet, data aggregators, and public datasets.

• Develop comprehensive, interactive dashboards and visualizations from scratch using PowerBI.

• Summarize and present key insights and reports to all organizational levels, including senior management.

• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance value through process automation and programmatic solutions for manual tasks, while monitoring and improving the performance of Data Science models.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in the field of data science.

• Engage in continuous learning, growth, and exploration of new emerging technologies.

• Approach problem-solving with creativity, generating innovative ideas and solutions.

• Mentor and provide guidance for junior analysts and team members, serving as a resource and role model.

• Oversee the development, testing, and implementation of machine learning models and algorithms to tackle complex business issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A PhD is required in a Quantitative field (strong emphasis on mathematics, statistics, or analysis, such as Applied Mathematics, Optimization, Psychology, or Economics) or a Programming discipline.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis.

• At least 1 year of programming experience.

• Extensive experience with large, complex datasets and common data science tools.

• Proficient in working with database Python.

• Experience in designing, building, deploying, and validating machine learning predictive models, preferably within a business context.

• Experience training multi-model designs for structuring and training unstructured data matching.

• Experience training LLM models for specialized application scenarios.
