Senior Data Engineer, DataBricks, Data Privacy – LGPD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Serve as a technical consultant for the integration of Databricks with data privacy and governance tools.

• Assist in configuring connectivity, access permissions, metadata, and security requirements within Databricks.

• Oversee and validate the processes related to data discovery, classification, and scanning throughout the Data Lake.

• Offer expertise on Databricks data structures, access patterns, and security frameworks.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and business teams to ensure data integrity, usability, and compliance.

• Document data architectures, workflows, and technical procedures.

• Aid in troubleshooting and provide technical support regarding data-related issues.

• Participate in discussions on Data Lake and Data Warehouse architecture as well as best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Data Engineering or similar positions.

• Advanced English proficiency (C1 or higher), both written and spoken - essential.

• Practical experience with Databricks (mandatory), including:

• Knowledge of data structures and Delta tables.

• Familiarity with access control and security models.

• Understanding of connectors and metadata management.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Apache Spark.

• Experience in modern cloud-based data engineering environments.

• Familiarity with Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures.

• Knowledge of dimensional data modeling.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data and ETL processes.

• Understanding of data privacy and compliance concepts such as LGPD and GDPR.

• Nice to Have:

• Databricks certification.

• Experience with Azure and/or AWS.

• Familiarity with Unity Catalog and Data Governance practices.

• Knowledge of Data Quality frameworks and processes.

• Experience with data privacy, governance, discovery, or classification platforms.

• Experience in supporting scanning and classification tools integrated with cloud data platforms.

• Experience working with international clients.

• Knowledge of Power BI.
