Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Utilize expertise in healthcare and database management to assess clinical data, identifying and reporting trends.

• Create and develop contemporary data-driven software applications that enhance clinical and operational processes throughout the healthcare system.

• Construct data pipelines and transformations, enrich data processes, establish provisioning layers, and design user interfaces to fulfill the requirements of key initiatives.

• Engage in close collaboration with Product, Platform, and Architecture teams to achieve collective goals.

• Provide mentorship and support to junior Data Engineers while participating in the research and development of new technologies to establish repeatable processes or templates for other Data Engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer.

• Proficiency in Hadoop / Spark / NoSQL (including Spark, Hadoop ecosystem, Kafka, Flink, and NoSQL platforms).

• Advanced skills in SQL and Python (including Python, SQL, and Linux-based processing).

• Experience with OLAP and Cloud Data Warehousing (such as Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, BigQuery, and dimensional models).

• Knowledge of Unstructured & Multimodal Data Engineering (including EHR/EMR, HL7, FHIR, APIs, and clinical notes).

• Familiarity with Modern Application Development Frameworks (specifically FastAPI and Flask).

• Expertise in Modern ETL / ELT Tooling (including ADF, Glue, Airflow, dbt, NiFi, Informatica, and Fivetran).

• Understanding of AI/ML and LLM / Prompt Engineering (including LLM pipelines, RAG, LangChain/LlamaIndex, embeddings, and vector databases).
