This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.
• Design and manage ingestion and transformation workflows using dbt, SQL, and Python.
• Create dependable pipelines integrating ETLs, CDC, APIs, CSVs, and event streams into analytical models.
• Ensure data integrity and deduplication for Business Intelligence reporting.
• Develop semantic and analytical models, including fact and dimension tables, as well as star and snowflake schemas.
• Enhance query performance in the BI warehouse, currently utilizing Athena with Iceberg, with potential future transitions to ClickHouse, Redshift, BigQuery, or Starrocks.
• Implement versioned entities and maintain audit trails for business data.
• Construct pre-aggregations and semantic layers, including Cube, dbt metrics, and models.
• Provide support for dashboards and client-facing reports in Grafana.
• Collaborate with product, risk, and operations teams to design KPIs and metrics.
• Execute validation checks through dbt tests and Pydantic.
• Monitor data freshness, pipeline SLAs, and the accuracy of dashboards.
• Establish alerts and documentation for business users.
• Collaborate closely with analysts, product managers, and operations to understand BI requirements.
• Expose data via APIs and semantic layers for self-service exploration.
• Contribute to the formulation of rules governing reporting policies and metric definitions.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in BI engineering, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
• Data Warehouses: Proficient in SQL, with experience in at least one data warehouse (Athena, Redshift, ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Modeling: Practical experience with dimensional modeling, dbt, star and snowflake schemas, and metric layers.
• Programming: Proficient in Python for data transformations.
• Data Quality: Experienced in validation, deduplication, and maintaining audit logs.
• CI/CD & Infra: Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar tools, basic knowledge of Terraform/CDK, and containerized pipelines.
• Mindset: Detail-oriented, dependable, and collaborative with business users.

• Understanding of semantic layers such as Cube and dbt metrics.
• Experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Background in client-facing dashboards.
• Familiarity with Grafana or similar BI visualization tools.
• Knowledge of real-time analytics and pre-aggregations.
