This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Take charge of the design and implementation of data pipelines; integrate over 250 transactional tables into approximately 10 analytical tables; transition from weekly full-refresh processes to daily or near-real-time incremental loading through Change Data Capture (CDC) techniques (e.g., AWS DMS). Develop and manage the centralized analytics layer.
• Create unified definitions for data, metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks throughout the organization. Provide a Master Data Management (MDM) framework with consistent definitions and governance standards.
• Lead the migration to the centralized analytics layer while phasing out direct access to raw tables.
• Collaborate with internal teams to promote self-service analytics and create aggregations/data marts for benchmarking and experimental purposes.
• Perform exploratory and statistical analyses to validate data, and implement data observability and monitoring practices.
• Work alongside the Applied AI Engineer to craft AI-ready data models (including structures suitable for retrieval and embedding to support RAG and LLM applications). Enhance the data lake to include third-party sources (e.g., HubSpot, Jira, Zendesk).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, particularly in building and managing production pipelines and analytics layers.
• Proficient in SQL and Python, with extensive hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL.
• Significant experience in dimensional modeling and integrating transactional schemas into analytical tables.
• Practical experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) and strategies for incremental loading.
• Familiarity with the AWS Data Stack (including Athena, Glue, DMS, S3, RDS, Lambda).
• Demonstrated experience in establishing Master Data Management (MDM), defining metrics, and ensuring data governance.
• Practical experience in building AI-ready pipelines, including retrieval and embedding-ready data for RAG and LLM applications.
