Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Create intricate SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, reporting, and transformation technologies.

• Design and implement resilient ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing custom tooling (Python/Google) and commercial solutions, emphasizing monitoring, supportability, and resource management.

• Contribute to and adopt coding standards and best practices to guarantee efficient and reusable services and components.

• Architect, implement, and deploy new data models and processes in a production environment.

• Develop data pipelines that acquire, cleanse, transform, and publish data from diverse sources.

• Assemble large and complex datasets that fulfill both functional and non-functional business requirements.

• Collaborate with data asset managers, architects, and development leads to ensure that the technical solution delivers data that is fit for purpose and aligns with architectural blueprints.

• Identify, document, design, and implement improvements to internal processes.

• Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required in Data Science, Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Management / ETL / ELT / Data Warehousing.

• Proficient in writing Data Quality routines for data cleansing, capturing confidence scores, and Master Data Management (MDM).

• Practical experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and ELT/ETL processes (e.g., Fivetran, DBT).

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and associated services (e.g., BigQuery, S3, Snowflake, etc.).

• Strong grasp of data modeling, data integration, and data governance principles (e.g., DBT).

• Experience working in a highly regulated sector (e.g., Healthcare, Banking, etc.).

• Solid knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and Transact-SQL (T-SQL).

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python.

• Experience with agile delivery methodologies.

• Excellent organizational, administrative, and analytical skills are essential.

• Travel may be required up to 5 to 10% of the time.
