Senior Data Developer, Python, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance data ingestion applications utilizing AWS tools, both within serverless architectures (Glue, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Kafka, etc.) and those employing ECS;

• Comprehend technical requirements by engaging in inception and refinement sessions;

• Develop and organize automated tests to guarantee the quality of deliverables;

• Conduct code reviews and oversee production deployments;

• Manage incidents;

• Improve data jobs and pipelines by focusing on data partitioning, balancing data skew, and performance tuning;

• Create and uphold pipeline orchestrations using AWS Step Functions and AWS EventBridge;

• Set up and monitor observability using AWS CloudWatch and, ideally, tools like Datadog;

• Operate with a FinOps perspective, ensuring efficient use of cloud resources and identifying cost optimization opportunities in data solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Python with practical experience in PySpark;

• Familiarity with AWS (S3, Glue, EC2, Lambda, Athena);

• Automation of unit tests;

• Experience with relational databases;

• Development of automated tests applying the test pyramid strategy;

• Technical refinement of user stories and provided solutions;

• Understanding of code quality and programming best practices;

• Strong communication skills to ensure alignment with team members and stakeholders;

• Capacity to execute tasks with proactivity;

• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and application of FinOps best practices to data pipelines.
