This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Ensure the integrity of data across reporting outputs and source systems within your division.
• Detect discrepancies and collaborate with the data engineering team to investigate root causes.
• Confirm that all data is thoroughly reviewed and verified prior to distribution to stakeholders.
• Proactively identify data quality issues before they escalate to leadership or clinical teams.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports utilizing Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools.
• Convert operational and clinical data into clear, structured insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Assist with recurring reporting requirements for divisional leadership.
• Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, effective, and actively utilized by teams.
• Implement standardized metric definitions as set forth and governed by BII leadership.
• Keep documentation of reporting logic and calculation methodologies within your division.
• Report any metric inconsistencies or definitional gaps to the BII Director for resolution.
• Collaborate closely with divisional operations and clinical leadership to comprehend reporting needs.
• Act as the primary user of data engineering outputs and raise pipeline issues through the BII Director.
• Contribute to wider BII reporting initiatives as instructed by BII leadership.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, and data validation logic.
• Proven experience in creating and maintaining dashboards (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• 3–7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting roles.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple data sources and reconcile inconsistencies.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a history of identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
• Capability to articulate data clearly and confidently to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in healthcare, clinical operations, or multi-location environments (advantageous).
• Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Athena) or similar platforms (advantageous).
• Exposure to collaborating with data engineering teams (advantageous).
• SALARY - $1,500 to $1,800 PER MONTH
• TYPE OF WORK - FULL TIME (REMOTE), Hours: 40 hours a week
