This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
β’ Develop and organize data domains across treasury, finance, risk, FP&A, and accounting β establishing granularity, business logic, and data ownership from the ground up when necessary.
β’ Manage source-to-target mapping comprehensively β extract, transform, enrich, cleanse, and convert data from disorganized source systems into accurate and dependable outputs.
β’ Convert business requirements into explicit technical specifications β collaborate directly with finance, treasury, and risk stakeholders to clarify their needs and effectively communicate those to technology teams or external vendors.
β’ Navigate accounting and financial intricacies β comprehend concepts such as management fee structures (receivables versus payables, date logic, transaction-level detail), ratings hierarchies, and cash flow categorization well enough to prevent data misrepresentation.
β’ Function with minimal onboarding time β whether you have experience within a similar organization or possess a robust treasury/risk data background, you are expected to quickly adapt and advance work without extensive training.
β’ 5+ years of direct experience (Manager) or 3+ years (Analyst) working with finance, treasury, risk, or accounting data in asset management, private equity, private credit, or a related financial services domain.
β’ Profound knowledge of data domain development β you have personally constructed or restructured data domains, not merely supervised such initiatives. Source-to-target mapping, data cleansing, enrichment, and transformation are integral to your experience.
β’ Strong accounting and financial acumen *(especially for Manager roles)* β you can differentiate between various definitions of the same metric (e.g., management fees, ratings types) and are aware of the follow-up questions to ask prior to data extraction.
β’ Experience with OneStream and/or Snowflake *(preferred)* β practical application is required, not just familiarity.
β’ Previous experience at a large-scale alternative asset management firm *(preferred)* β firms such as Blackstone, KKR, Ares, Carlyle, Brookfield, or similar. Fund-level data experience on the asset management/HoldCo side is a significant differentiator.
β’ Flexible Freelance Model: This is a long-term contract/freelance position tailored for independent professionals seeking the freedom of private practice without the solitude of working alone.
β’ Experience-Based Rates: Compensation is customized based on your level of expertise.
β’ Portfolio Growth: Enhance your profile by collaborating directly with leaders at innovative global organizations such as Gannett and Portrait Analytics.
β’ A Clear Path Forward: We prioritize transitioning from "doing" to "leading." You will have a defined trajectory to acquire specialized expertise and leadership capabilities.
