Senior Data Analyst – EU Timezones Only

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• You will engage in a Data Modelling and Analytics Engineering project aimed at enhancing, enriching, and maintaining our data models and analytics pipelines. These initiatives will involve close collaboration with the head of Data & Analytics, who will act as the primary stakeholder. The goal of these projects is to further empower data analysts and scientists on our team to generate greater impact on business use cases in partnership with business teams.

• You will be accountable for making effective contributions to our codebase, which includes building, testing, reviewing, and maintaining robust analytics pipelines using SQL and dbt. Managing technical debt and enhancing engineering practices and project architecture will also be key responsibilities for this position. Methodical testing is crucial to improve Data Observability.

• You are expected to gradually take ownership of certain aspects of the team's responsibilities, including parts of the codebase, influencing the evolution of the analytics project's architecture, contributing to the team's development and continuous growth, and assisting data analysts and scientists in enhancing their engineering skills.

• You will be encouraged to express your opinions and proactively contribute to improving the team's practices, cohesion, impact, and overall mission.

• You are expected to be highly autonomous, demonstrating a sense of ownership and the ability to effectively manage your own projects and stakeholders with minimal guidance from the Head of Data & Analytics.

• You will assist in mentoring junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate everyone's skills.

• You are expected to make valuable contributions to our functional documentation, ensuring it is clear, concise, and useful for future collaborators and readers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Data or Analytics Engineering.

• Strong hands-on skills in Data Modelling.

• Proficient in SQL (preferably with experience in dbt or a similar SQL-based data modelling tool).

• Excellent engineering skills including testing, clean coding, peer reviewing, CI/CD, git workflows, and agile methodologies.

• Previous experience with modern data stack tools and cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).

• Strong business acumen to manage your own projects and business stakeholders effectively.

• Self-starter with the capability to work independently and fully own projects.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Comfortable in a remote work setting (we operate as a remote-first organization).

• **Good to Have:**

• Prior experience with tools in our Data Stack (e.g., Amplitude, dbt, BigQuery, Metabase).

• Strong analytical and statistical intuition.

• Hands-on data analysis skills.

• Experience managing modern dbt data pipelines.

• Prior experience in an agile startup environment.
