This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of cross-functional analytics projects. Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Finance, Product, Member Experience, leadership, and various teams to identify business challenges, establish requirements, analyze data, and deliver sustainable solutions.
• Develop reliable data models. Design, construct, test, document, and sustain dbt models that convert raw source data into dependable, reusable, analytics-ready datasets.
• Engage deeply with BigQuery. Utilize advanced SQL in BigQuery to explore complex inquiries, optimize queries, validate data, create reusable logic, and support high-quality reporting.
• Enhance the BI layer. Create and maintain dashboards, reports, semantic definitions, and self-service analytics experiences in Omni and/or Power BI.
• Standardize metric consistency. Assist in defining business metrics, reconciling conflicting data, documenting assumptions, and ensuring stakeholders comprehend the meaning of data and its application.
• Monitor and resolve data quality issues. Collaborate with Fivetran-fed data and downstream dbt/BI assets to detect pipeline problems, data freshness concerns, schema changes, source system inconsistencies, and reporting errors.
• Convert business ambiguity into data-driven solutions. Lead stakeholder discovery, ask insightful questions, clarify trade-offs, and transform business needs into actionable data requirements and deliverables.
• Facilitate improved decision-making. Provide insights and reporting that assist teams in enhancing operational performance, sales effectiveness, member experience, financial visibility, and leadership decision-making.
• Utilize AI tools judiciously and securely. Employ Claude and other AI tools to expedite analysis, SQL iteration, documentation, test generation, workflow automation, and stakeholder support while ensuring output validation and data quality protection.
• Elevate the standards for the Data team. Contribute to naming conventions, documentation standards, QA practices, metric governance, dbt structure, BI usability, and overall confidence in the data ecosystem.
• Perform other assigned duties.
• Approximately 3–5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, data engineering-related work, operations analytics, or a comparable field; equivalent demonstrated expertise will also be taken into account.
• Proficient SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, subqueries, performance-optimized query design, and validation logic.
• Experience in creating dashboards, reports, or self-service analytics tools for business users.
• Proven ability to translate business inquiries into analytical requirements and technical deliverables.
• Strong grasp of data modeling principles, including facts, dimensions, grain, metric definitions, and reusable transformation logic.
• Capability to independently manage projects while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
