Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead the requirements engineering for data projects by developing Functional and Technical Specifications that emphasize business value, transformation rules, acceptance criteria, and information traceability.

• Engage in the collection and mapping of complex processes alongside business units, identifying flows, exceptions, dependencies, and improvement opportunities using frameworks such as BPMN, SIPOC, and UML.

• Convert business needs into scalable technical solutions for engineering and analytics teams, ensuring alignment between functional and technical stakeholders.

• Define and document data consumption architectures, including dimensional modeling, grain definition, fact tables, and dimensions in Star Schema and Snowflake structures.

• Support BI and DataViz initiatives by structuring consumption and data visualization frameworks in corporate tools like Power BI.

• Conduct data analysis and validation using SQL to explore, validate, cross-reference information, and confirm hypotheses.

• Operate in agile environments, participating in the breakdown of Features into User Stories, refinement sessions, delivery planning, and ongoing collaboration between business and engineering.

• Facilitate discussions among various departments to achieve conceptual alignment on indicators, metrics, and business rules.

• Adopt a consultative approach by questioning demands and proposing solutions that address the root business problems, ensuring impactful and value-added deliveries.

• Lead information discovery processes in complex environments, including legacy systems and scenarios with minimal documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid experience in Requirements Engineering for Data, including the development of Functional and Technical Specifications.

• Advanced knowledge in data modeling and Data Warehousing concepts, utilizing Kimball and Inmon methodologies.

• Experience with dimensional modeling and the construction of analytical architectures (Star Schema and Snowflake).

• Proficiency in process mapping and requirements gathering using BPMN, SIPOC, UML, or similar frameworks.

• Knowledge of Big Data ecosystems and data processing platforms, such as Databricks.

• Experience with BI and data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.

• Proficient in SQL for data analysis, validation, and verification.

• Experience in agile methodologies (Scrum) and continuous integration within DevOps environments.

• Excellent communication skills for interaction with executive audiences, business areas, and technical teams.

• Negotiation skills, conflict management, and alignment among multiple stakeholders.
