Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive research to develop and enhance our core data algorithms.

• Utilize Generative AI tools for in-depth research, data analysis, and programming to expedite insights.

• Examine large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and irregularities, applying domain expertise to interpret data and deliver valuable insights for the maritime sector.

• Write Python scripts to extract and analyze data from diverse sources, including Postgres, MongoDB, SingleStore, and S3.

• Ensure data quality and integrity by conducting detailed checks to monitor, identify, and rectify inconsistencies, taking responsibility for critical data and infrastructure.

• Present findings through data visualization, employ data storytelling, and document research in technical papers and logs to effectively convey actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams, including domain and technical specialists, to tackle research challenges and enhance data processes.

• Participate in the Data Analysts technical guild to contribute to the development of Windward’s data analyst professional community.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in data analysis, showcasing advanced skills in Python programming.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related technical discipline.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Proven experience in leveraging Generative AI tools and an AI-first mindset for data research, analysis, and innovation.

• Significant experience in statistical analysis within enterprise or research settings.

• Mastery in querying databases and utilizing the Python data analysis and visualization stack (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, Plotly, Matplotlib, etc.).

• Familiarity with monitoring and visualization tools such as Grafana or Redash.

• Strong analytical abilities and adept problem-solving skills.

• Capability to work independently and manage intricate research tasks with considerable autonomy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on proactively updating stakeholders about project dependencies and progress.

• Proven dedication to being a proactive team player, working collaboratively with R&D colleagues and cross-functional partners to achieve common objectives.
