This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather their needs and translate them into clear functional requirements.
• Analyze, understand, identify, and collect the data that needs to be extracted from transactional systems for specific requirements.
• Coordinate with Data Stewards (data custodians from transactional sources) to comprehend and identify the information that should be ingested into the country’s unified data environment.
• Organize, sort, and classify the collected data based on existing structures or predetermined systems.
• Define the data models to be constructed or evolved within the Datalake of Argentina.
• Standardize and harmonize data from different business units within the country.
• Document all technical details and functional requirements necessary for subsequent construction by data engineers.
• Work closely with data engineers to ensure that functional requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
• Participate in code reviews and data validations to ensure quality by monitoring integrity and analyzing data discrepancies (for both new and existing requirements).
• Proven senior experience in the role of Data Analyst, ideally within the Retail sector or complex corporate environments.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, analyzing, and managing databases from source systems (mandatory).
• Practical experience using SQL client tools (e.g., DBeaver or similar).
• Knowledge of Amazon AWS cloud environment, specifically Datalake services such as S3, Redshift, and Athena (mandatory).
• Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, MicroStrategy) and understanding of modeling concepts in Power BI.
• Educational background in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and the autonomy to resolve problems and prioritize tasks.
• Desirable: Previous experience interacting directly with technical profiles (Data Engineers/Architects) and business profiles (Data Stewards/Product Owners).
• In-depth knowledge of the retail business model and associated data concepts.
