• Role: Senior Credit Analyst (Experience in Credit Analysis within the AU Mortgage sector)
• The Senior Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in assisting mortgage brokers by overseeing the complete loan processing cycle.
• Responsibilities include gathering client supporting documents, conducting initial credit pre-assessments, creating credit proposals, preparing, reviewing, and submitting loan applications, and coordinating with brokers, clients, lenders, and referral partners to ensure compliance and documentation standards are met for a seamless customer experience.
• Collaborate internally with Directors, Mortgage Brokers, and the Broker Support Team.
• Engage externally with Clients, Lenders and Banks, Solicitors and Conveyancers, Referral Partners, and Real Estate Agents.
• Prepare, review, and submit loan applications accurately and promptly by adhering to submission/application checklists and established company processes.
• Verify client information and documentation to align with lender requirements and compliance standards.
• Communicate with lenders, solicitors, conveyancers, real estate agents, clients, and referral partners to monitor application progress and address any issues or delays.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the loan processing phase (from pre-assessment to settlement).
• Offer personalized mortgage guidance tailored to clients' needs and preferences in collaboration with brokers by utilizing credit assessment checklists and following company procedures to complete pre-assessments/loan proposals.
• Clearly articulate mortgage terms, interest rates, and repayment plans to clients as needed.
• Provide application updates and respond to client inquiries.
• Assist clients in the document collection process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is received and complete.
• Ensure all applications comply with regulatory, lender, and company standards.
• Review loan documents with clients to confirm understanding and accuracy.
• Maintain current knowledge of lender policies, products, and industry regulations.
• Follow the established credit assessment checklist and process.
• Keep precise records of all client interactions and document submissions in the CRM system.
• Ensure client data is appropriately filed in the database according to company standards and naming conventions.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, lenders, and external industry and referral partners.
• Provide continuous support and guidance throughout the mortgage process, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Conduct regular annual product interest rate reviews (post-settlement) with clients to ensure satisfaction and explore future business opportunities.
• Stay informed on industry regulations, market trends, and best practices through ongoing education and training.
• Obtain necessary licenses and certifications to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Attend regular online and in-person industry and lender training as necessary.

• Collaborate closely with mortgage brokers to facilitate a smooth transition from application to approval stages.
• Promptly address any concerns or queries regarding files in progress with the mortgage broker.
• Provide constructive feedback to brokers and management regarding process improvements or recurring challenges.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
• Accuracy and timeliness in initial pre-assessments/loan proposals.
• Accuracy and timeliness in loan submissions.
• Client satisfaction scores and feedback.
• Percentage of approved loans compared to applications submitted.
• Percentage of accurate loan submissions with no errors or unnecessary resubmissions.
• Percentage of loan settlements that meet required deadlines.

• Completion of annual reviews.
• A solid 4-5 years of experience in credit analysis within the AU Mortgage Broking Industry.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong comprehension of mortgage, asset finance, personal loan, and business/commercial loan products and application processes.
• Experience in loan processing, financial services, or related fields.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and loan submission platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Experience with Mercury CRM (essential) and Microsoft.
