Senior Computer Vision Engineer, Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and execute models to estimate;

• Player height

• Distance from the camera (depth)

• Leverage camera parameters including focal length, field of view (FOV), and intrinsic/extrinsic characteristics;

• Utilize 2D pose/keypoint data to derive 3D spatial information;

• Implement and enhance:

• Pinhole camera models

• Perspective and projection geometry

• Evaluate and rectify:

• Effects of camera angle

• Perspective distortion

• Lens distortion (as applicable)

• Convert real-world camera configurations into precise mathematical representations;

• Enhance scale consistency across various devices and recording environments;

• Spot opportunities where physics-based methodologies can augment or substitute machine learning models;

• Work in close partnership with Computer Vision engineers to integrate solutions into production workflows.

• Strong academic or professional foundation in:

• Optics

• Physics

• Computer Vision

• Profound understanding of camera geometry and image formation concepts

• Practical experience with:

• Camera calibration methods

• 3D-to-2D projection models

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Competence in connecting theoretical models with real-world applications.
