Senior Cloud Security Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Designing security architectures for intricate IT infrastructures, while considering ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, and other pertinent guidelines.

• Performing risk analyses and creating as well as implementing preventive protection measures in cloud, on-prem, and Kubernetes environments.

• Incorporating security requirements into current systems, architectures, and CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).

• Providing advisory services to clients, particularly in the public sector, regarding regulatory requirements in relation to modern IT and cloud infrastructures (e.g., DORA, NIS2, KRITIS).

• Establishing and further enhancing ISMS and emergency/incident management systems within critical environments.

• Empowering development and operations teams to fulfill security requirements.

• Preparing and maintaining security documentation and delivering training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or vocational training in a field related to IT.

• Substantial hands-on experience in cyber or IT security, emphasizing technical implementation.

• Profound understanding of security standards and their practical applications (ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz).

• Familiarity with regulations and their adaptation into technical security measures (e.g., NIS2, DORA, KRITIS requirements).

• Experience in designing, assessing, and implementing security architectures—ideally across heterogeneous environments (cloud, on-premise, OT/IT).

• Proficient in managing cloud infrastructures and leading hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Practical experience with DevSecOps principles and integrating security within CI/CD pipelines and agile development processes.

• Willingness to travel within Germany (averaging a maximum of 3 days/month).

• Willingness to undergo security screening (SÜ1 or SÜ2) under the German Security Clearance Act (SÜG).

• Excellent proficiency in both German and English.
