Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Design and execute the application infrastructure utilizing principles and concepts of computer science.

• Create automation scripts to streamline manual processes.

• Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to establish the AWS infrastructure.

• Oversee applications to ensure compliance with the organization's security best practices.

• Architect, develop, collaborate with, and resolve issues related to AWS cloud services in support of the application platform.

• Commit developed code to the Git repository.

• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure code consistency.

• Diagnose issues to facilitate the development team's progress.

• Convey technical requirements necessary for task completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a software development-related role.

• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps practices.

• Minimum of 3 years working with the AWS cloud platform.

• 3 years of software development experience using Python or another systems automation language.

• 3 years of experience with AWS services such as RDS, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.

• 3 years of experience supporting application environments on the AWS Cloud.

• 3 years of experience utilizing code versioning tools, including Git.

• 2 years of experience implementing security best practices to ensure ongoing compliance with company standards.

• 1 year of experience communicating complex ideas to technical audiences.
