This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Deliver individual tele-therapy services to perinatal and perimenopausal patients utilizing FamilyWell's virtual platform, with a primary focus on managing a full clinical caseload.
• Execute one-on-one psychological intakes for patients referred to the FamilyWell program, collecting thorough assessments to guide treatment planning.
• Meticulously document patient progress and relay treatment recommendations to medical providers, psychiatric consultants, and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
• Adjust treatment plans for patients requiring more intensive or specialized mental health care, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions are made.
• Create and present Care Plans following sessions, providing patients with actionable insights and follow-up steps.
• Implement evidence-based clinical methods tailored to perinatal mental health (PPD, PPA, birth trauma) and perimenopausal issues (mood dysregulation, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, and life transitions).
• Develop and finalize relapse prevention self-management plans for patients approaching discharge, ensuring a structured method for maintaining mental health improvements.
• Act as the primary clinical resource and initial point of contact for therapy consultants with clinical inquiries, complex cases, or ethical dilemmas.
• Advocate for the therapy consultant team by addressing their needs, concerns, and clinical feedback to leadership, ensuring their voices are heard.
• Provide informal clinical guidance, peer consultation, and immediate support to therapists dealing with challenging patient situations.
• Encourage peer-to-peer reflection and case consultation to foster shared learning and enhance clinical quality across the team.
• Raise concerns regarding well-being, help identify early signs of burnout or compassion fatigue, and support FamilyWell’s Provider Experience initiatives.
• Contribute clinical expertise to significant organizational decisions, including care model development, clinical protocols, and improvements to patient experiences.
• Offer clinical insights on projects that necessitate therapy-specific knowledge, such as new program creation, clinical quality initiatives, and integration with OB/GYN partnerships.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders on policies and practices influencing the therapy team and standards of patient care.
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or equivalent (LMFT, LPC, Psychologist), possessing an active license in the state of Massachusetts; multi-state licensure is advantageous.
• Formal training in perinatal mental health or at least 5 years of clinical experience working with pregnant and/or postpartum patients.
• Clinical experience with perimenopausal populations, including knowledge of hormonal health, midlife transitions, and related mental health conditions.
• Proven ability to function as a clinical peer resource, mentor, or informal support for fellow therapists.
