This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Oversees clinical trials and observational studies to ensure compliance with protocols, manage site operations, and maintain data collection integrity.
• Guarantees that sites are executing the study(ies) and reporting data in accordance with relevant regulations, guidelines, and sponsor requirements.
• Conducts both remote and on-site monitoring aligned with project-specific timelines.
• Arranges travel logistics per project-specific needs and UBC travel policies.
• Submits expense reports in line with UBC guidelines.
• Participates in project team meetings, departmental meetings, and individual meetings with the manager.
• Prepares site monitoring reports and correspondence following UBC and/or sponsor SOPs with minimal revisions required.
• Ensures timely follow-up on site issues and action items per UBC/sponsor schedules.
• Monitors data entry in the Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system, if applicable, and assists sites with electronic Case Report Form (eCRF) resolution.
• Reviews the Investigator Site File and conducts Investigational Product reconciliation.
• Maintains consistent communication with assigned sites according to study requirements.
• Completes all SOP reviews, training assessments, and documentation within specified timelines.
• Executes Site Management and Monitoring tasks in accordance with project-specific plans and timelines.
• Assists with additional tasks as assigned, which may involve collaboration with other UBC departments.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences is preferred, or equivalent experience in the industry and clinical research.
• A minimum of 24 months of clinical research experience, particularly in site management and remote monitoring.
• Ideally, at least 6 months of on-site monitoring experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and regulatory guidelines, including local laws.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and effective communication skills are crucial.
• Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering precise work and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language (as applicable).
• Experience with CTMS, eTMF, EDC, and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
