This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
β’ Collaborate across the complete spectrum of Brand Studio projects β including campaigns, web, social, and brand initiatives β working with a team that prioritizes craft and intention.
β’ Take ownership of the creative vision for Mercury's growth channels β defining the standards of brand excellence at the performance level and establishing the benchmarks that uphold it.
β’ Create paid ad creatives in static, motion, and social formats, ensuring each placement bolsters Mercury's brand while driving effective results.
β’ Leverage creative testing as a strategic asset by formulating hypotheses, embracing creative risks, and translating insights gained β both quantitative and qualitative β into enhanced creative direction and brand evolution.
β’ Collaborate closely with growth marketing on campaign briefs, iterative processes, and channel strategies.
β’ Transform Mercury's product UI into engaging visual elements for campaign and growth purposes.
β’ Design for lifecycle marketing, including email visuals, landing pages, and other conversion-centric touchpoints.
β’ Art-direct video content and partner with production teams as campaign needs arise.
β’ Develop scalable creative systems β including templates, asset libraries, and workflows β that enhance team efficiency without compromising quality.
β’ Contribute to Mercury's brand system as it relates to growth and performance contexts.
β’ Utilize AI tools in daily operations to accelerate and refine growth creative and to create custom imagery and assets, aiding in the workflows being established by the team.
β’ Over 5 years of experience in brand design, art direction, or visual communication, ideally combining in-house and agency backgrounds.
β’ A portfolio showcasing both craftsmanship and strategic insight β work that is visually appealing and purposeful, demonstrating an understanding of both form and function.
β’ Expertise in Figma; experience with motion and video editing is a significant advantage.
β’ A sincere perspective on branding. You recognize that exceptional growth creative is not a deviation from the brand β it is a manifestation of it.
β’ A strong enthusiasm for creative testing paired with analytical thinking. You are adept at interpreting both quantitative data and qualitative insights, curious about effective strategies, willing to take risks to uncover findings, and capable of translating those insights into improved creative and brand alignment.
β’ Authentic proficiency with AI in your creative workflow. You stay updated on AI design tools and apply them to quickly scale and iterate on creative projects while producing custom, high-quality assets, and you actively share successful strategies with your peers.
β’ The capability to manage high volumes of work swiftly while maintaining focus β you transition from brief to delivered asset efficiently and know when to advocate for necessary changes.
β’ A true engagement with growth opportunities. You view paid, lifecycle, and growth channels as an untapped canvas for branding and are eager to shape the creative vision to influence brand direction.
β’ Excellent communication skills: you can articulate creative choices, welcome feedback, and maintain a strong viewpoint under pressure.
β’ Familiarity with paid social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn) and knowledge of ad specification requirements is a plus.
