📋 Description

• Our client is a startup that develops risk management systems and early warning solutions for hydrometeorological events and natural disasters.

• Their software processes real-time information, integrates physical sensors, distributes alerts, and assists institutions and organizations in responding to critical events.

• We are not just looking for Backend developers... We seek engineers who: do not operate like a traditional software factory. They do not believe in massive releases, QA as a bottleneck, eternal tickets, “it’s fine in my environment,” empty agile ceremonies, or complex architectures just because “that's how Big Tech does it.”

• We do believe in: XP (Extreme Programming), genuine TDD, continuous refactoring, short feedback loops, trunk-based development, continuous delivery, YAGNI, incremental design, constant collaboration, and simple software that evolves quickly.

• What we truly do: We build software for real-time data ingestion, event processing, early warning systems, critical operating systems, operational continuity, monitoring, observability, and risk flow automation.

• We primarily work with: AWS, event-driven architectures, TypeScript end-to-end, cloud-native services, distributed systems, and frequent production releases.

• Current Stack: Backend - TypeScript, Node.js, Serverless, Event-driven Architecture.

• Cloud / Infrastructure - AWS Lambda, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, Fargate.

• Frontend - TypeScript, React.

• Mobile - React Native.

• Others - Docker, CI/CD, Testing, Observability, Cloud-native tooling.

• How we work: The goal is NOT to write the “perfect architecture.”

• The objective is: to deliver value quickly, obtain early feedback, reduce friction, keep the system easy to change, and evolve it continuously.

• Here, we make frequent releases, work with shared ownership, constantly review design, perform continuous refactoring, and aim to reduce the time between: “I wrote code” and “I know if it really works.”

• How we collaborate: We work in a highly collaborative manner.

• This means that: we constantly share context, review ideas early, do pairing, discuss design, and provide frequent technical feedback.

• For us, pair programming does NOT mean: “dividing tasks and each person working separately.” It means: solving problems together, reducing uncertainty early, sharing ownership, detecting errors before production, and continuously improving how we build software.

• What you might NOT enjoy here: This role is probably NOT for you if: you prefer rigid and highly structured processes, need extremely detailed tickets to proceed, test only at the end, work better in isolation, feel uncomfortable receiving frequent technical feedback, think that TDD = “testing later,” seek teams where everyone only touches “their microservice,” or if your definition of seniority is solely based on years of experience or knowledge of frameworks.
