Senior Backend Engineer, Rust

📋 Description

• We are seeking a skilled engineer to join the Nitro team and contribute to the development of the core technology that powers Arbitrum, the foremost Ethereum scaling solution.

• Designing and optimizing systems responsible for transaction execution, state management, and network performance.

• Enhancing throughput and boosting the performance and efficiency of Arbitrum's fundamental infrastructure.

• Addressing distributed systems challenges within a large-scale blockchain network.

• Improving reliability, observability, and security across vital infrastructure.

• Creating new functionalities for the Arbitrum stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient Rust engineer with a proven history of developing production systems.

• Comfortable engaging with distributed systems, infrastructure, and performance-critical applications.

• Driven by the challenge of solving intricate technical problems at scale.

• Capable of taking ownership of projects from technical design through to implementation and operation.

• Pragmatic, collaborative, and adept at making informed engineering trade-offs.

• Interested in runtimes, execution environments, WASM, developer tooling, and/or systems programming.

• Maintained a security-focused mindset, consistently vigilant for potential threats and vulnerabilities in your code.

• Nice to have:

• Experience with WASM.

• Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure or smart contract platforms.

• Contributions to open source projects within the Rust ecosystem.
