Senior Backend Engineer – Databases

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the team to introduce new features, evaluate outcomes, and implement enhancements.

• Lead projects from initial concept through to execution, including ongoing customer support.

• Design, construct, operate, and maintain critical systems.

• Play an active role in shaping the roadmap and influencing career objectives.

• Participate in on-call rotations for managed services.

• Support and mentor team members, engaging in design discussions.

• Broaden your skill set by exploring cloud products and the codebase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Go, Python, C, C++, Rust).

• Strong background in designing and developing software that operates in the Cloud or in systems engineering.

• Familiarity with distributed systems.

• Experience working with Kubernetes.

• Some experience in delivering projects from requirement gathering to product launch.

• Capability to write clean, robust, and efficient software.

• Experience with on-call responsibilities and performing operations/SRE tasks.
