This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design and create backend services, APIs, and enterprise integration components that support essential healthcare applications.
• Direct technical implementation tasks related to service-layer business logic, data processing, error handling, and system integrations.
• Work in conjunction with architects and technical leaders to ensure that solution development aligns with platform standards, roadmap priorities, and non-functional requirements.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and advocate for best practices regarding maintainability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, defect resolution, and production support across various environments.
• Enhance backend application performance, monitoring, logging, and observability functions to boost operational stability.
• Participate in technical design reviews, estimation tasks, release planning, and documentation activities.
• Collaborate with QA and DevSecOps teams to enhance testability, deployment readiness, and operational resilience.
• Recognize opportunities for code refactoring, reusable component creation, and initiatives to reduce technical debt.
• Contribute to Agile delivery processes and support sprint, increment, and release commitments across diverse teams.
• Engage in various projects and initiatives as assigned, showcasing adaptability and a collaborative approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be taken into account.
• At least 8 years of experience in backend engineering, enterprise application development, or software engineering roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API development, and service-oriented or microservices architectures.
• Proficient in SQL, relational database design, and backend data integration techniques.
• In-depth understanding of authentication, authorization, secure application development, and enterprise security best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development workflows, and production support operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical implementation initiatives and guide less-experienced developers within Agile teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, system design, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience operating within Agile software delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
• Capable of obtaining and maintaining a Government clearance.
