This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend services utilizing C#, .NET, and Microsoft Azure technologies.
• Architect and create secure, reliable, and high-performance APIs that drive Franki's products and enhance user experiences.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Frontend teams to determine technical solutions and implement new features.
• Lead technical discussions and participate in architectural decisions that ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Perform code reviews and help establish engineering standards, best practices, and development processes.
• Enhance application performance, reliability, and scalability across our platform.
• Diagnose complex technical problems and apply effective long-term solutions.
• Advocate for automated testing, CI/CD practices, and contemporary software development methodologies.
• Assess emerging technologies and propose improvements that boost engineering efficiency and product functionalities.
• Mentor fellow engineers and foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.
• 7+ years of experience in developing modern, cloud-based web applications.
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, and .NET Core.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including services such as Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Azure DevOps, and SQL Server.
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Strong grasp of scalable application architecture, software design patterns, and distributed systems.
• Experience with implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing methodologies.
• Proficient in SQL, data modeling, and performance enhancement.
• Experience in agile product development teams.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to balance technical excellence with business needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Remote work: Our team operates remotely across the US, primarily in the PST time zone; we gather several times a year for company kick-offs and mid-year meetings.
• PTO: 15 days of paid time off per year, plus additional leave between Christmas and the end of the year (December 25th - December 31st). We also observe 11 public holidays annually.
