Senior Backend Engineer – API

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Enhance Deepgram’s primary inference services, focusing on networking, speech processing, audio transcoding, and optimizing latency and memory.

• Create methodologies for assessing, constructing, and refining services to ensure peak system performance.

• Troubleshoot intricate system challenges involving networking, scheduling, and high-performance computing interactions.

• Swiftly adapt backend services to meet customer demands.

• Collaborate with the Product team to design and execute new services, features, and/or products from inception to completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in a relevant industry position.

• Proficient in programming with Rust (or C, C++), along with strong skills in Python.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong organizational abilities.

• Advanced knowledge and experience with version control systems; git is preferred.

• Extensive familiarity with UNIX-like systems.

• Experience with contemporary machine learning frameworks such as Torch or architectures like CNNs, RNNs, and transformers is a plus.
