Senior Backend Developer – .NET, DevOps, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Analyze, design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and high-quality software solutions that adhere to architectural best practices.

• Engage directly in .NET development (C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+) and configure and optimize CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.

• Take an active role in modernizing legacy systems by suggesting and executing structural enhancements (refactoring, migration, and decomposition of monoliths).

• Set up and maintain integrations via APIM and Sensedia, ensuring governance, security, and standardization of APIs.

• Guarantee the stability, performance, and security of production applications by managing incidents and promoting continuous improvements.

• Act as a technical reference within the team, mentoring junior developers and advocating best practices, including the integration of AI in development.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (business, architecture, security, infrastructure, and data) to ensure alignment between technical and business needs.

• Ensure adherence to security, governance, and corporate standards, utilizing tools such as SonarQube and Veracode.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in .NET development, with significant hands-on involvement in coding and automation.

• Experience in medium to high-complexity projects within large corporate environments.

• Proven experience with critical, highly available systems that require complex integrations across multiple platforms.

• Experience in maintaining, evolving, and troubleshooting production applications, including legacy systems and technology modernization projects.

• Proficient in C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+.

• Development of REST APIs (creation, consumption, versioning, and security).

• Strong understanding of Clean Architecture, DDD, SOLID principles, and software development and architecture best practices.

• Database experience with SQL Server and Oracle, focusing on optimized queries and PL/SQL.

• Familiarity with ORMs, primarily Entity Framework.

• Advanced knowledge of Git version control (branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews).

• Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps (build and release pipelines) and/or GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of Azure services: App Services, Functions, and Azure API Management (APIM).

• Experience in automating application deployments and, ideally, database deployments (versioned scripts, migrations, pipelines).

• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), with active participation in ceremonies (planning, review, retrospective, and daily stand-ups).

• Experience in a technical leadership or mentorship role, providing support to junior developers.

• Utilization of GitHub Copilot or similar AI tools for code generation, review, refactoring, and documentation support, with the capacity to craft effective prompts.

• Desired/Preferred:

• Postgraduate degree or specialization in architecture, cloud computing, or software engineering.

• Experience in the insurance sector.

• Experience with static analysis and code security tools such as SonarQube, Veracode, or similar.

• Experience in consuming or integrating with AI services (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services) or a strong interest in working in an AI-focused environment.

• Knowledge of Dapper.

• Experience with Azure Service Bus.

• Familiarity with Sensedia for API management.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, especially for containerized applications.

• Experience with observability tools (logs, metrics, dashboards) and tools like Application Insights.
