This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct the creation and implementation of state-of-the-art solutions, guiding them from concept to production.
• Collaborate with product managers and interdisciplinary teams to clarify and execute requirements, ensuring smooth integration and an optimal user experience.
• Work with major clients and cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions and improve product capabilities.
• Develop and sustain consistent, enterprise-level APIs across services, guaranteeing interoperability and scalability while adhering to best practices for interactions with both partner and internal systems.
• Create robust backend applications using Python on AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SMS, ECS, and other cloud technologies.
• Implement backend code within a serverless, cloud-native framework (Flask/AWS Lambda/ECS).
• Design and establish scalable systems that can handle high-volume transactions while ensuring durability and dependability.
• Adhere to security best practices throughout all stages of development and deployment.
• Conduct code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality.
• Exhibit technical leadership, ensuring timely execution and the delivery of superior software.
• Make informed architectural choices based on thorough evaluation and past experiences.
• Manage tasks independently, collaborate effectively with both internal and external teams, and drive projects to successful conclusions.
• Represent the software development team’s products to stakeholders, offering technical insights and solutions.
• Over 7 years of relevant job experience encompassing a diverse array of technical skills.
• A keen interest in working for a health technology company; prior experience in Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in Python (Flask/SQLAlchemy) and TypeScript (React).
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL databases, including common table expressions, windowing functions, views, stored procedures, and indexing techniques (full-text or geospatial).
• Experience with microservices, an API-based application paradigm, and distributed caching techniques.
• Proven ability to deploy intricate web applications to the cloud, focusing on infrastructure as code with a security-oriented mindset (AWS, Terraform).
• Demonstrated capability to enhance the scalability and observability of systems.
• Proficient in Linux using Bash, Zsh, Python, Node.js, and similar tools.
• Experience with Git for code management, preferably in a mono repository.
• Strong understanding of unit testing across various paradigms and integration testing utilizing frameworks like Playwright.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration in a remote setting with both technical and non-technical teams of major clients.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive stance towards identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Previous experience as a technical lead collecting functional and non-functional requirements, or substantial technical product management experience is a plus.
