Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines utilizing DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions

• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or Bicep for Azure resources

• Deploy and manage containerized applications within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using Docker

• Collaborate with developers to automate application deployments and oversee environmental lifecycles

• Securely manage secrets through Azure Key Vault, OIDC, and pipeline integrations

• Monitor infrastructure and applications via Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights

• Contribute to cloud architecture decisions, particularly regarding security, automation, and scalability

• Engage in cloud cost optimization and FinOps initiatives

• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and production support

• Define and document DevOps standards, runbooks, and architectural patterns

• Assist in onboarding AWS DevOps practices as we transition to a multi-cloud environment

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles

• Strong practical experience with Azure DevOps Services (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts)

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep

• Production experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and Helm

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python

• Comprehensive understanding of Git workflows, including branching and pull request strategies

• Familiarity with Azure networking, RBAC, Managed Identities, and cloud security best practices

• Exposure to AWS DevOps tools and services (e.g., EKS, IAM, CloudFormation, CodePipeline) (Bonus)

• Experience with GitHub Actions in enterprise or regulated environments (Bonus)

• Knowledge of compliance-driven DevSecOps (e.g., SOC2, ISO27001, HITRUST, HIPAA) (Bonus)

• Previous experience mentoring team members or leading technical initiatives (Bonus)

• Project management experience with Jira or similar tools (Bonus)
