This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversees, offers guidance and support, and evaluates the work output of junior Auditors and Financial Analysts to ensure alignment with the objectives of audit investigations.
• Provides updates to the Trial Staff and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) as necessary on the progress of audit investigations; compiles interim and final written reports along with recommendations based on the findings of audit investigations.
• Examines and interprets financial and operational statements, records, and other data to draw conclusions in line with the stated goals of audit investigations.
• Capability to acquire and sustain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance prior to commencement (candidates do not need to hold clearance at the time of application).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Proficient in functioning effectively within a fully remote work setting.
• Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• MBA or equivalent qualification in accounting or a closely related field.
• Comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS).
• At least five years of experience as an auditor, with a minimum of three years in specialized areas such as Medicare billing and claims systems or Department of Defense (DoD) inventory systems.
• In-depth working knowledge of relevant accounting and financial analysis automated data processing (ADP) systems and applications.
