Senior Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits on medical records to verify clinical documentation that supports evaluation and management services, ancillary services, procedures, diagnoses, as well as clinical documentation requirements, identifying gaps and missed opportunities, while adhering to quality and production standards.

• Evaluate project guidelines to ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule and align with client-specific requirements.

• Investigate regulatory guidelines for supporting documentation when needed.

• Compile audit summary findings, offering detailed comments on the audit results and providing recommendations.

• Maintain consistent production standards for the role and achieve quality metrics of 95% or higher.

• Responsible for upholding department audit standards, clinical documentation standards, protocols, and guidelines.

• Assist the team in meeting department key performance indicators and objectives (SLAs).

• Participate in workforce transformation by engaging in ongoing knowledge enhancement across various functional areas and/or acquiring new skills to support the evolving needs of the organization and clients.

• Contribute to the optimization of the organization by collaborating to find opportunities for process improvements and supporting ongoing enhancements to workflows and operations that foster quality and efficiency.

• Prepare and present oral and/or written reports on audit activities to the Manager, meeting regularly to review personal performance, mentorship, and succession planning.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing.

• Extensive auditing experience across multiple specialties.

• In-depth knowledge of AMA, OIG, CMS, and other national coding and compliance guidelines.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to take full ownership of an entire project.

• Detail-oriented with a strong drive to meet deadlines.

• Ability to think critically and identify the most effective methods for task completion.

• Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, and internet usage).

• Capacity to multitask while maintaining a sense of urgency.

• Outstanding customer service skills.

• Strong time management, organizational skills, and a solid work ethic.

• Required certifications: CPC® & CPMA, RHIT, or CPMATM.
