Senior Associate, External Audit – Banking/Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jordan.

📋 Description

• Deliver virtual client engagement support for key clients in the region.

• Utilize analytical skills to assess clients' financial statements and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

• Review financial and accounting records, as well as other documentation and physical items like inventory or plant and equipment.

• Interact with various individuals within client organizations through formal written communication and informal verbal inquiries.

• Evaluate the internal controls and processes of client organizations.

• Establish trust and credibility with clients by understanding their expectations and providing high-quality services.

• Update the Manager and/or Partner on engagement progress, including potential risks, issues, and deviations from the planned timeline and budget.

• Assume complete responsibility for the completion of external files and evaluate the economics of engagements for oneself and field staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related academic field.

• Completed or currently pursuing a professional qualification, such as ACCA, CA, ACA, or CPA (preferably).

• Relevant experience at the Senior Associate level with a variety of external audit clients in a Big 4 professional services firm.

• Experience auditing Banking or Insurance clients is advantageous.

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills that enable you to excel in a team setting.

• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (both oral and written) is a plus.

• Skills in business development and building client relationships.

• Openness to challenge established norms and foster a cohesive and effective team.

• Exceptional project management capabilities.

• Experience applying international standards on auditing (ISAs) in the external audit of financial services, with a solid understanding of IFRS relevant to the FS practice (e.g., IFRS 9, 17) and financial services regulations.

• Familiarity with audit technologies and experience using data analytics tools is an asset.
