Senior Architectural Technician, NZ Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Generate top-quality architectural documentation for aged care and multi-unit residential projects in New Zealand, including drawings appropriate for consent and construction.

• Operate under the guidance of a Senior Architect based in New Zealand, taking full responsibility for assigned documentation packages and deliverables.

• Create and coordinate drawing sets comprising floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details in accordance with the New Zealand Building Code and relevant New Zealand standards.

• Develop and sustain Revit models to ensure consistency and coordination throughout all documentation outputs.

• Oversee and manage project files and documentation workflows utilizing Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bluebeam Revu.

• Communicate effectively with local consultants and suppliers as necessary to guarantee documentation accuracy and project alignment.

• Proactively identify and address technical issues within documentation packages with minimal supervision.

• Maintain a professional remote working environment with dependable connectivity and a consistent quality of output.

⛳️ Requirements

• Qualification in Architectural Technology or an equivalent — Diploma, Bachelor, or a recognized technical qualification.

• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in architectural documentation.

• A minimum of 2 years of documented offshore delivery experience working with a New Zealand or Australian architectural practice — portfolio evidence of documentation produced for New Zealand consenting and construction is essential.

• Strong working knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code, NZ standards, and New Zealand project delivery models.

• Proven ability to assume responsibility for a documentation package and communicate effectively with local consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

• Proficient in Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam Revu — expertise in all three platforms is crucial for this role.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills adequate for effective operation in a distributed team environment.
