Senior API Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop RESTful, SOAP, or GraphQL services adhering to industry best practices and an API-first approach.

• Integrate external services, APIs, and databases to enhance the functionality of internal applications.

• Establish robust authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, JWT) to safeguard sensitive endpoint data.

• Create and maintain thorough, user-friendly documentation for both internal and external developers.

• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply caching and load-balancing techniques.

• Proficient in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.

• Solid understanding of web protocols and architectural styles, particularly REST, GraphQL, and SOAP.

• Familiarity with tools like Postman, Swagger, OpenAPI, or SoapUI.

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Basic knowledge of DevOps methodologies, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automated testing pipelines.

• Experienced in handling JSON and XML data formats.

• Skilled in authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT.

• Proficient in querying and managing both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in API development, including at least 2 years in a senior capacity.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting are essential.

• Clearance Requirement - Ability to obtain may be necessary.
