Senior Android Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for Redcare’s Android application, enhancing architecture, scalability, and technical quality while creating a premier mobile experience for millions of users.

• Spearhead the design and development of scalable, maintainable Android applications utilizing contemporary Android architectures (MVVM / MVI / Clean Architecture).

• Promote the use of Jetpack Compose for crafting declarative, responsive user interfaces.

• Ensure adherence to best practices in modularization, code quality, testing, and performance optimization, while defining and refining the app’s architecture to guarantee scalability and long-term maintainability.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality, user-focused features.

• Oversee the delivery pipeline, encompassing CI/CD, testing (unit/UI), and release management.

• Maintain app stability through monitoring, logging, and performance tracking tools.

• Preserve clear and comprehensive documentation for architectural decisions, features, and technical workflows.

• Keep abreast of the latest Android trends, tools, and frameworks, and proactively implement enhancements to the codebase, tooling, and development methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in Android development with a strong command of Kotlin.

• Profound knowledge of the Android SDK and contemporary Android development methodologies.

• Practical experience with: Jetpack Compose, Coroutines & Flow, Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger), REST APIs (Retrofit/OkHttp).

• Strong understanding of clean architecture principles, design patterns, and modularization.

• Experience in testing (JUnit, Espresso, MockK) and in writing maintainable, testable code.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.

• Demonstrated ability to take charge of complex projects and deliver high-quality outcomes independently.
