Senior Accounting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive accounting bookkeeping for the Payment Institution in compliance with the COSIF standard, ensuring adherence to BACEN regulations and relevant laws;

• Document accounting transactions following COSIF, BCB Resolution No. 2, CPCs recognized by BACEN, and other prudential guidelines;

• Perform accounting and financial reconciliations, which include: bank accounts; transit/clearing accounts; Pix settlements; graphic accounts; customer and partner balances; float control and payment balances;

• Manage accounting provisions, contingencies, expected credit losses (ECL), impairment, taxes, judicial deposits, and asset movements;

• Assist in and carry out monthly, semi-annual, and annual accounting closings to ensure the integrity, traceability, and compliance of financial data;

• Prepare and validate essential financial statements, including: Balance Sheet (BP); Income Statement / Statement of Profit or Loss (DRE); Statement of Comprehensive Income (DRA); Cash Flow Statement (DFC); Statement of Changes in Equity (DMPL); Notes to the Financial Statements; Management Report; and support for the Independent Auditor's Report;

• Prepare and assist with regulatory and prudential submissions to BACEN, including Document 9010 and other relevant accounting CADOCs;

• Ensure appropriate segregation of payment accounts and confirmation of prudential accounting classifications;

• Oversee operating revenues and expenses associated with the financial operation, including MDR (merchant discount rate), fees, and other financial products;

• Assist in calculating and monitoring prudential indicators such as Reference Equity (PR); minimum regulatory capital; and simplified Basel framework for Payment Institutions;

• Provide support for both internal and external audits, ensuring a clear audit trail, adequate documentation, and regulatory compliance;

• Stay updated on regulatory changes from the Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN), CPC/IFRS, and other standards applicable to the financial and payments sectors;

• Assist in the implementation and accounting control of intangible assets as per BCB resolutions, including the capitalization/recognition of internally developed products; project management; and CAPEX/OPEX segregation;

• Support processes related to equity, share capital, and the prudential statements of the Payment Institution;

• Engage in the ongoing enhancement of accounting processes, internal controls, and automation within the finance and regulatory domain;

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Ciências Contábeis);

• Experience in accounting for financial institutions, fintechs, or Payment Institutions;

• Familiarity with COSIF and BACEN regulations;

• Proficiency in accounting closes and the preparation of financial statements;

• Knowledge of CPC/IFRS standards applicable to the financial sector;

• Experience in accounting reconciliations and financial controls;

• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel;
