Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and prepare intricate sections of SEC filings by crafting disclosures, reconciling supporting workpapers, and ensuring adherence to GAAP and SEC regulations.

• Oversee comprehensive financial reporting workstreams by managing timelines, validating inputs, and guaranteeing the accuracy and completeness of deliverables.

• Investigate and resolve intricate technical accounting challenges by analyzing guidance, documenting findings, and suggesting suitable accounting treatment.

• Ensure the integrity of financial statements by reviewing balances, disclosures, and supporting documentation for precision and consistency.

• Manage and implement internal controls by designing, documenting, and upholding SOX compliance and operational efficiency.

• Act as the primary liaison for auditors by coordinating requests, supplying documentation, and addressing technical inquiries.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate timely and accurate information flow for financial reporting needs.

• Assess new accounting standards by evaluating their impact, developing implementation strategies, and ensuring proper adoption.

• Propel process enhancements by identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements to reporting workflows and controls.

• Analyze financial data and disclosures by identifying trends, risks, and inconsistencies that could influence reporting outcomes.

• Maintain and refine reporting documentation by standardizing workpapers and ensuring readiness for audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, or public accounting, with proven expertise in SEC reporting and complex accounting issues.

• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.

• Experience in preparing and reviewing SEC filings such as Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.

• Familiarity with utilizing automation and AI tools to enhance financial processes and control efficiency.

• Strong skills in technical accounting research and memo writing.

• Experience with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.

• Proficient in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

• Advanced Excel skills with the capability to analyze complex financial data.
