
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Support and enhance formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, discharge pathway assistance, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with infectious disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision makers to drive sales.
• Create, implement, and execute integrated business plans for the territory.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical information regarding disease states and approved products.
• Deliver sales presentations to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Achieve formulary wins and translate market access successes into prescribing and utilization.
• Involve stakeholders in clinical discussions that support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Work collaboratively with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, specialty pharmacy partners, and GSK cross-functional teams.
• Identify and address obstacles to product adoption.
• Plan activities to meet call metrics and enhance customer coverage.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze trends in utilization, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the budget for the territory.
• Complete administrative tasks and implement the company brand strategy within the assigned geography.
• Engage in training and development programs.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industries.
• More than 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the designated geography, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Preferred: a consistent record of top-tier sales performance and proven success in product launches.
• Preferred: demonstrated success in driving demand generation within hospitals.
• Experience in anti-infectives is preferred.
• Proficient in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• Strong understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficient in analyzing data and trends to formulate actionable business plans.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving market conditions.
• Proven ability to adhere to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling skills coupled with strong business acumen.
