
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Support and enhance formulary access, protocol readiness, order set preparation, discharge pathway assistance, and demand generation within designated hospital accounts.
• Interact with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision makers to promote sales.
• Create, implement, and execute comprehensive territory business plans.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical information regarding disease states and approved products.
• Present approved-product sales presentations to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Utilize and manage resources effectively to enhance customer engagement.
• Collaborate with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet sales targets while prioritizing high-value customers and growth opportunities.
• Achieve hospital formulary wins and convert market access successes into prescribing and usage.
• Engage stakeholders in discussions about patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
• Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve barriers affecting product adoption.
• Plan activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in coordination with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the territory budget and complete necessary administrative tasks.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• 3+ years of experience in hospital and health system engagements.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within assigned geography, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Consistent track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Proven success in driving demand generation within hospitals.
• Expertise in account selling and managing intricate sales processes.
• In-depth knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Background in collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Skill in analyzing data and trends to develop actionable business plans.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling skills, complemented by strong business acumen.
