Senior ABAP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, test, debug, implement, maintain, and document ABAP code utilized in RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms, and Workflows) objects.

• Offer optimization, enhancement, and operations & maintenance support for ABAP applications that execute financial and business management functions on SAP (ECC, CRM, SRM) instances.

• Engage in analyzing the customer's business operations to validate requirements and scope, recommend process improvements, and assist in level of effort (LOE) estimation as needed.

• Develop and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents, and perform unit, integration, and release testing to confirm functionality.

• Assist end-users with Acceptance Testing activities and be involved in Production Operations and Release Management support.

• Create and maintain solutions related to Catalog Management, including product and service catalogs, and related business processes.

• Design, develop, and enhance SAP Workflow solutions to automate and optimize business processes.

• Update User Interfaces by designing and constructing applications in line with the SAP Fiori Application Architecture, which includes SAP application templates (e.g.: Worklist, Master-Detail), Smart Controls, Dynamic UI Content, Smart Templates, Fragments, and Themes.

• Implement Fiori applications (transactional, factsheet, and analytical) and enhance standard applications utilizing the enhancement framework.

• Design and model OData services using the Gateway Service Builder.

• Deploy applications within existing application Launchpad environments.

• Integrate into our team as we create, test, debug, implement, maintain, and document solutions within an SAP NetWeaver application environment. Responsibilities involve creating, modifying, and maintaining reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, forms, and workflows (RICEFW) objects on ECC, CRM, SRM, and other SAP systems that meet the mission-specific requirements of our client.

• Create and maintain SAP design and technical documents, as well as testing and validating application functionality and performance.

• Participate in all stages of the ASAP system development life cycle, including operations and maintenance (O&M) and enhancement support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience coupled with a BS/BA degree.

• Experience in extending SAP standard functionality using ABAP Objects and other contemporary SAP technologies.

• Familiarity with CRM solutions, including customer engagement and catalog management.

• Experience in configuring and enhancing SAP Workflows to improve business processes.

• Proficient in developing software in SAP NetWeaver ABAP Stack environments using: ABAP Objects, ABAP Reports, ABAP online transactions, Webdynpro Interface/dialog programming, BAPI, ALE, IDOC's User Exits, BADIs, and Batch Programming.

• Experience with SAP UI5/Fiori applications that feature an intuitive and responsive user interface.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs (e.g.: OData) and SAP Gateway.

• Skilled in report development utilizing ALVs, drill down, and PDF forms.

• Familiarity with the SAP ABAP Data Dictionary and other SAP repository objects.

• Experience with the BRF+ framework.

• Effective at code optimization, program performance analysis, and tuning.

• Ability to adhere to rigorous development standards and conduct code reviews.

• Capability to work independently (self-motivated) and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with Management—providing status updates, proposing corrective actions, and accepting guidance and feedback from diverse customer organizations regarding requirements and deliverables.
