This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create comprehensive security solutions that encompass physical security, access control, video surveillance, intercom systems, mass notification, and intrusion detection measures, all tailored to meet client specifications or address identified risks.
• Produce thorough security design documentation, including the basis of design, system specifications, system drawings, schematics, and installation plans, while complying with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the design process (construction drawings and specifications) for technical and physical security components (such as cameras, access control, intrusion detection, fences, gates, etc.) for client projects.
• Possess a solid understanding of Master Format CSI specifications and the capability to create new content as necessary.
• Work closely with clients to grasp their business goals, security needs, and budget limitations, offering expert advice and recommendations.
• Partner with consultants within the client environment to establish design standards, assess costs, risks, and benefits of designs, and facilitate design discussions.
• Promote effective interactions among project teams and cross-functional groups (Technical, Operations, BD, Marketing, etc.) by successfully collaborating as part of a team to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Engage in the maintenance of the clients’ Basis of Design, prototype design, and specifications for physical security components.
• Document and communicate project decisions and directives in both written and verbal formats.
• Maintain a project document repository in a consistent and thorough manner for project delivery.
• Contribute to business growth by pursuing new opportunities and providing technical content for new business proposals and firm qualification packages.
• Participate in industry events to enhance brand visibility.
• A Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with equivalent education or experience.
• At least four (4) years of experience in designing and specifying low voltage technology solutions, with a primary focus on security electronics applied within a typical AEC industry design package.
• Strong technical expertise in security technologies, including access control systems, video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, and other electronic security measures.
• Capability to deliver system designs using an engineering approach to generate a well-coordinated set of construction documents within the project budget.
• Outstanding project management abilities, with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams, prioritizing tasks, and adhering to project deadlines and budget constraints.
• Proficiency in understanding client requirements and developing suitable solutions that align with operational goals and budgetary limits.
• Adhere to established processes, consistently seek to enhance efficiencies, enforce protocols, and conduct root cause analyses that inform process updates or creations.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Salesforce, Smartsheet, and MS 365 as essential software tools for the role; knowledge is preferable.
• Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) and an understanding of the necessary infrastructure for coordinating with other disciplines alongside colleagues.
