SecOps Engineer – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conduct advanced secure code assessments with an emphasis on OWASP Top 10 and CWE vulnerability categories.

• Detect, prioritize, and address application-layer vulnerabilities such as broken access control, IDOR, SQL injection, command injection, and deserialization issues.

• Create and support security automation tools utilizing Python, GoLang, or JavaScript/TypeScript to enhance the efficiency of vulnerability detection and remediation efforts.

• Execute and document penetration testing, working collaboratively across teams to promote remediation actions.

• Guide development teams on secure coding methodologies, fostering a proactive security culture throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Keep abreast of emerging threats and implement best practices within client environments.

• Convey information effectively through comprehensive written reports and verbal presentations, ensuring security findings are clearly articulated and actionable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in software engineering or security operations, concentrating on application-layer security.

• Expertise in Python, GoLang, Rust, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

• Proven proficiency in secure code review and professional penetration testing.

• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, CWE, and contemporary vulnerability categories.
